This aquatic occupational therapy program uses fun and engaging water-based activities to support the development of sensory integration, body/spatial awareness, motor skills (gross and fine), strengthening and executive function. Sessions focus on functional goals within a fun, safe aquatic environment to promote independence with Play, Social Participation and ADL/IADLs.
The client’s current InGym occupational therapy goals will be supported and reinforced through an aquatic based approach, allowing your child to grow in a sensory rich environment. While new clients will have goals tailored to your child’s needs in an aquatic environment.
All sessions will be done off-site at the Timpany Center:

Aquatic therapy OT has been found to support the following:
- Improved mobility, balance, and coordination in Neurodivergent children
- Improved mental health
- Increased confidence and body awareness in Autistic children
- Improvement in emotional and social skills in Autistic children
- Improves sensory processing and perception, mobility, endurance, and strength
- Improvement in motor skills and a foundation to swimming
